I like everything about HireHive. I’m a big fan. I’ve introduced it to three companies I worked with, and all three companies love it. It makes my job much easier.

Hilary Dempsey is a long-time HireHive customer. She started using it in 2016 and brought it with her when she changed roles. We caught up with her to find out why she likes HireHive.

Why did you need ATS?

When I first joined, there were a few roles being hired and applications were coming in via email (sometimes to multiple people) and were being tracked on a spreadsheet. Unsuccessful candidates were being posted letters. 

When you were looking for software to help recruitment, why did you choose HireHive?

I’ve used HireHive since it was ‘born’, so I know the system really well. I started using it in a previous role (TerminalFour). When I left there, I also implemented it in my next role and so when I started at Life Credit Union, it was a no-brainer for me.

How much time did it take you set-up HireHive in your company?

It was up and running immediately. I asked the team to replicate what I’d done at the other companies and then I did a bit of editing specific to Life Credit Union. HireHive is easy to use, so it takes very little time to get used to. 

What problems does HireHive solve for LifeCU?

Saves time: HireHive makes it so efficient and easy to post roles across multiple channels. I can tag and search candidates (in-line with retention guidelines) for future roles. 

Collaboration: It allows the team to share information about candidates and keep it all in a central location. 

Improved candidate experience: Some of our roles get over 100 applications! Keeping track manually would be a nightmare. With HireHive, I know no-one will get lost. All candidates get a response. 

It stores information for all candidates. If someone applies for a role and is unsuccessful, they may reapply in the future. We have all the notes and feedback readily available. 

How much more productive does it make your team?

HireHive makes the team A LOT more productive. We’d be lost without it. Team Leaders can do it all themselves if needed or jump in at the right time and know exactly where everything is and what’s happening. 

What do you like about HireHive?

The team is lovely to deal with. They’re very helpful and great to speak to. Excellent service!

How cost-effective is it?

It’s well worth the cost (which isn’t extreme anyway). The amount of time it saves alone makes it worth it! There’s a huge return on investment. 

How does HireHive affect the candidate's experience?

We want to create a great experience for unsuccessful candidates as well as successful ones. Unsuccessful candidates are often members, so we want to look after them. Equally, many unsuccessful candidates become great candidates in the future. (We want to build bridges, not burn fences!). 

HireHive enabled us to make a great candidate experience, for all applicants. 

  • Applicants get an immediate response, letting them know we got their application
  • It’s easy to schedule interviews and email candidates.
  • Unsuccessful candidates get a timely response. 

What do you like about working with HireHive’s team?

They are responsive, friendly and helpful. When I contact them I speak to a person, not a bot. I work in HR, so I prefer speaking to people. They are quick to answer questions, suggest workarounds and solutions. 

When I suggest something, they listen. My feedback and input was incorporated in developments over the years. When you use it, you can tell that it’s designed with a lot of input from customers like me. 

Who should use HireHive?

Anyone who needs to hire people should use HireHive. I work on my own in HR/Recruitment, it’s great for me. 

The system is easily set up for multiple users to manage and filter accordingly. I’m not working at high-volume recruitment levels, but it looks like this would certainly work for all.
